It is our privilege to pay tribute to these outstanding students and to express our appreciation to you, the educator, for  your participation in the USAA Awards Program. USAA Standards for Selection

  • Academics - 3.0 G.P.A. minimum on a 4.0 scale

  • Support of his/her college

  • Attitude and co-operative spirit

  • Leadership

  • Dependability

  • Citizenship

  • Example to student body

  • Enthusiasm

  • Responsibility

Nomination Procedure

  • Record your top engineering students on the nomination form. If more room is needed for additional students, please record their names on a copy of the nomination form, or attach your list.

  • Return the nomination form to the United States Achievement Academy in the enclosed postage paid business reply envelope.

  • When we receive your nominations, we will send each nominated student an official student biography form notifying him/her of the award for which he/she has been nominated. If you would like the biography forms to be sent directly to the students, please include addresses.

  • If school policy prevents you from including addresses, the forms will be sent to you for distribution.

Student Biography Forms

  • As previously stated, each student nominated will receive a biography form to complete and return to the United States Achievement Academy.

  • All students who return their biography forms will be recognized in the USAA National Collegiate Awards Yearbook FREE OF CHARGE. Biographical listings include student's name, university or college, city and state, the nominating educator, achievements and school activities.

  • Student addresses are not published in the Yearbook.

  • Student information is not sold to companies, educational institutions or entities.

  • All students who return their biography forms will receive a congratulatory letter, a scholarship application and a news release to submit to their local media.

  • Each student may voluntarily order the USAA National Collegiate Awards Yearbook

Scholarship Opportunities

  • The USAA awards 250 cash grants to students each year.

  • Our non-profit USAA Scholarship Foundation consists of educators representing all levels of education.

  • Scholarship applications will be sent to students upon receipt of biography forms.

  • All students who return a completed scholarship application to the United States Achievement Academy are eligible for consideration.

  • Scholarships are chosen on the following criteria:     

  1. grade point average

  2. school activities

  3. honors and awards

Facts about the United States Achievement Academy

  • Students recognized by the USAA are nominated by educators, coaches and community leaders.

  • Over 1,100,000 teachers and professors have nominated students in the USAA program.

  • The Academy has granted over $900,000 in scholarships to USAA award winners.

  • Educators in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have nominated students in the Academy honors program.
