ASME is the largest single resource devoted to the development and dissemination of mechanical engineering information. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers was founded in 1880 as a nonprofit educational and technical society. Today, over a century later, the Society's main concern remains the in-depth coverage of mechanical engineering technology and its interpretation to the general public.
The Student Chapter of ASME at the Texas A&M University - Kingsville provides mechanical engineering students with a means of developing network skills and learning about opportunities in mechanical engineering. We provide social, academic, and professional means to advance ourselves, each other, our discipline, and our college.

The new TAMUK-ASME website has been launched! We hope to make this a hub of information for MEEN students. Places of interest include this space, which will feature the latest happenings pertaining to the students and faculty of the MEEN Dept. The twitter feed will be a way for us to relay useful tidbits of information. The links page offers useful links including information on scholarships and various resources. If any ASME members are interesting in contributing, please let us know! We need individuals from all graduating classes, so any help would be great.

TAMUK now has an AIAA student chapter! The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics is the the principal society of the aerospace engineer and scientist. If you are interested in a career in aerospace/astronautics and are interested in joining, contact Michael Gutierrez.
