Website and Other Updates
First thing's first, we can update the website on our own! We would like to thank Mr. Hollingshead for putting up with
us for about three weeks while getting our site up and running.
Next, we are using MyGroups
as a membership roster for IEEE TAMUK.
Keep in mind that the account must be renewed each fall semester which means that the member and officer rosters must be updated.
For those of you many souls who have never used the MyGroups system, your login is tied to your university email account.
Set your university e-mail as your username and select "Forgot your password." A password will be sent to your university email account.
This should be your ___@students.tamuk.edu via hotmail.
We need an accurate count of National IEEE Members, so if you have not done so, please e-mail
James your IEEE member number.
Thus far, we have 6 members attending the regional conference next week. The SOFC has sponsored transportation
and some of the registration fees. We will request further assistance from the
Corpus Christi section.
Elections have come and gone and the results will be posted soon.

Latest Info
First thing's first, we're having a General Meeting Thursday, March 12 at EC113. Many topics will be discussed
but the official list has yet to be finalized. Stay tuned for more info on the meeting topics, ya?
Next is the Officer Elections. They are pending to be held on the last week of March or first week of April.
If you're not graduating, and want to be an officer of IEEE TAMUK, then you ought to stay tuned for more info, no?
Last, but not least, is the illustrious IEEE Region 5 Conference 2009 in Lubbock, TX from April 16-19th.
This is going to be a topic for the General Meeting this Thursday. For now, we feel the need
to remind you that you must be a National IEEE Member. Additionally, you can learn more about what goes on during
the conference here, or you can see the
MyGroups news article.
We're still trucking on getting the site on the Student organization site. Hopefully, we'll be up and running soon.
Again, thank you all for your patience and we all hope to see you soon!

Site Revamp
After running around like a headless chicken in an attempt to save IEEE TAMUK's old site, the site has been successfully
saved. Additionally, this page has practically been re-written to comply with many standards. Which of those standards apply will
displayed in a trophy-like manner soon, I assure you.
At the moment, much time will be spent trying to get the rest of the pages up-to-date and somewhat compliant with
accepted standards. Having that said, most of the site will be Under construction. Nevertheless, please bear with us in
our ventures to update our site with as much of the past 3 years as possible
Your patience is greatly appreciated
