Student Activities

Here at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, we are committed to enhancing the learning environment by supporting student extracurricular and professional activities. Our civil and Architectural engineering department has a very active ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Student Chapter at the university, regional, and national levels.Under faculty supervision, our students participate in an outreach program to the local high schools, hosting summer activities, and serving as mentors to freshman and high school students.

The Department is always seeking to foster student and faculty partnerships with practicing engineers who often speak at the ASCE student chapter meetings and in senior capstone design classes.Students are encouraged to attend the local monthly meetings of professional engineering societies from the Corpus Christi area.Valued input from practicing engineers provides opportunities for students to interact and work in professional settings as part of their college education.
