    • A Civil Engineering senior student won second place out of twenty-entries in a poster entry at the Great International Southwest Region X ASME conference held on March 26, 1999 at Fayetteville, Arkansas.  

    • Inducted into the charter membership by The Membership Committee of the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Charter membership was awarded to honor all the founding members of SEI in year 2000. 

    • Invitation to present a paper at the Eigth International Conference on Composites Engineering, ICCE/8, August 5-11, 2001 in Tenerife Island, Spain.   

    • Invitation to present a paper at the ANNIE 2001. Smart Engineering System Design: Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic,  Evolutionary Programming, Complex Systems and Data  Conference, November 4-7, 2001 in St. Louis, Missouri. 

    • Served as the sectional editor for The Texas Academy of Science /Texas Journal of Science (2000-2001).  I was the editor for the Material Science section.  

    • Served as a reviewer for The Fifth World Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernatics and Informatics (SCI 2001), Orlando, Florida, July 22-25, 2001.  

    • Named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 1988-1989, 1989-1990 and 1990-1991.  

    • Named to Who's Who Among International Students in American Universities and  Colleges in 1989.  
    • National Dean's List.
    • Inducted to Alpha Chi (Junior-Senior National Scholastic Honor Society).  
    • Member Tau Beta Phi (National Engineering Honor Society).
    • Dean of the College of Engineering Fellowship at Texas A & I University- Kingsville.        
    • Best International Student Academic Award, Summer 1990.
    • Department of Civil Engineering Scholarship at Texas A & I University,  Spring 1990. 
    • Member, American Society of Civil Engineers (Associate Member).
    • Member, American Concrete Institute.
    • Member, American Society of Engineering Education.
