The Department of Industrial Technology

The Industrial Technology department is committed to the academic success of its students.

Many Industrial Technology courses try to maintain a low student to teacher ratio and are offered during the day and at night so you can keep your existing job.

The Industrial Technology program at Texas A&M University-Kingsville is fully accredited with the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) and every student who graduate with a degree in industrial technology graduates with minor in business as well, This mixture of technical and business courses gives industrial technology graduates a multitude of career options and opportunities.

The Industrial Technology department's degree plan requires only 120 credit hours to graduate.  Only two math courses (Algebra and trig or business math I and II) and two sciences courses (Chemistry and physics) are required to earn an Industrial Technology degree.

All Industrial Technology courses are offered frequently enough so every major can graduate on time.  All of our course offerings are printed two years in advance, so you know exactly what Industrial Technology courses will be offered in the upcoming semesters. 

The Industrial Technology department is now offering certificates.  Certificates allow students the opportunity of a more in depth study in technological fields in which they have interest.  Students graduating with a Industrial Technology degree will receive a certificate for each area completed.
